AT&T to open 1,000 new stores, could regain retail lead from T-Mobile

T-Mobile recently passed AT&T in terms of the total number of retail stores it operates. But it appears that AT&T isn’t giving up. AT&T announced today that it plans to open 1,000 new retail outlets on top of the 5,300 stores it manages today.
