Qualcomm unveils cellular 'vehicle to everything' chipset

Qualcomm announced a new chipset that will couple 4G and 5G networks with short-range functionality, enabling devices to communicate with other cars, traffic lights and other items nearby, without necessarily needing a cellular network to do so.
