Small Cell Forum completes Release 9, laying foundation for 5G

The Small Cell Forum marked its 10th anniversary this week with the completion of Release 9. Among other things, the release addressed the managed use of shared spectrum and the Citizens Broadband Radio Services band while providing a blueprint for commercializing hyperdense networks for 4G, 5G and the internet of things.
